John Moulder’s RE:VISION Collective features a number of Chicago’s finest musicians performing John’s own arrangements and reworking of beloved jazz standards. The RE: VISION Collective reinterprets jazz classics, breathing new life and inspiration into time honored jazz repertoire and Brazilian music, making for a uniquely enjoyable and memorable experience. Come with an expectation for surprise as the band explores fresh renditions of works penned by composers as diverse as Ellington, Rogers, Gershwin, Coltrane and Miles Davis.
John Moulder is a guitarist and composer whose music has evolved from various musical traditions. His most recent release entitled Metamorphosis features Richie Beirach, Steve Rodby and Paul Wertico and new compositions penned by Moulder and described by Raul da Gamba as, “an album to die for.” Other recordings by Moulder including Decade:Memoirs, Bifrost and Trinity which have been named by Chicago Tribune as one of its ten best jazz recordings of the year. He performs nationally and internationally at numerous festivals, clubs and concert halls.
