Myles Tate is an artist, multi-instrumentalist, educator, vocalist, composer/arranger who hails from Chicago, Illinois. Myles studied music education and piano at Roosevelt University and Michigan State University.
Over the course of his career Myles has transcended genres and gone on to perform with artists such as Wynton Marsalis, Dorinda Clark-Cole, Tony Terry, and a host of others. After spending most of his life in the Chicago area, Myles has been making his mark on Dallas Fort Worth audiences gaining status as a luminary.
With his edgy style and innovative beats, jazz and blues drummer Isaiah Spencer has carved out a unique reputation in Chicago and on the national and international music stage. Not only has the North Side native performed at the Chicago Blues Festival, the Englewood Blues Festival, Jazz Showcase, the House of Blues and Rosa’s, he has taken the stage to perform with legends like Fred Anderson, William Parker and Ernest Dawkins.
The Chicago Tribune’s recently retired Music Critic, Howard Reich, has called his sound “propulsive” and “incendiary.” Chris Searle, culture writer for the Morning Star said his sound is “fiery.”
