Andy’s 50th w/The Rhythmakers

In celebration of our 50th Anniversary, Andy’s Jazz Club proudly presents The Rhythmakers, an original & unique to Andy’s Jazz Club group that held down a weekly steady booking for 15+ years starting in 1978 and running into the 1990’s.
Original band leader Bobby Lewis is recreating The Rhythmakers, a mainstream jazz sextet who held down Friday nights at Andy’s during their extended run. The band was composed of the who’s, who on the Chicago scene with past original members including the likes of Barrett Deems on drums & Truck Parham on bass. The band performed at the 2nd ever Chicago Jazz Festival as part of a programed tribute to Duke Ellington.
The original members of this band consist of some of the first performing artists to ever perform live at Andy’s Jazz Club and it is a great honor to be able to present the great Bobby Lewis and this band’s sound on stage once again.
