Performing Artist Jacob Slocum presents the glory of the Baritone saxophone this weekend featuring 2 sets of music from his hand selected sextet composed of 3 Baritone Saxophones, Piano, Bass & Drums.

When asked Slocum states, "I really want the sets at Andy’s to feature the versatility of the Baritone, the music of the Baritone Saxophone (original music by myself and other Baritone composers written specifically for Baritone), and also the virtuosity of the individual Baritones' playing styles and abilities."

Jacob Slocum is an Artist who approaches his medium of music through the Lens of Jazz. Although Firmly rooted in an ethos of Soulfulness (the Blues, the music of the Black Church, and the tradition of Jazz); Jacob lives by Charlie Parker’s words that there is no boundary line to art. Jacob is an artist easily at home in a variety of settings and genres secular or sacred instrumental or choral.
