Opal Staples is a singer, songwriter and actress, a true force of nature. With a presence that commands any stage, Opal could never be classified as average. Not ever. She is a rare gem of vocal genius in music, acting, and entertainment including television features on NBC (Chicago P.D.) and FOX (Empire), signature voice features for McDonalds, Verizon, and The Oprah Winfrey Show, and musical contributions with award-winning artists Ramsey Lewis, Seal, David Foster, and Stevie Wonder & Toni Braxton. In 2015, Opal was selected to sing for the nationally televised “Home Going” service for Mr. Ernie Banks also known as “Mr. Cub” in Chicago.

She has established Opal Staples Orchestra, a 22-piece musical band celebrating classic and contemporary music as well as a powerful platform to share her own songs and musical arrangements. Opal’s gifted voice and energetic performance will change the way we see, hear, and experience music for years to come.
