Showtimes:   10:30pm-11:45pm

Trio Nexus consists of Reginald Thomas on piano, George Fludas on drums and Dennis Carrol on Upright Bass.

Reginald Thomas can be seen fronting his own groups on both piano and Hammond organ and as a sideman with great artists including Hamiett Blueit, Ann Hampton Callaway, and the Carl Allen/Rodney Whitaker Ensemble. He is often seen performing with the Legendary Count Basie Band as an accompanist for the Thelonious Monk International Jazz Competition at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC. and Los Angeles.

After almost 20 years as professor of music at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, and three years at Michigan State University as Professor of Jazz Piano, Reggie Thomas is now leading the Northern Illinois University School of Music’s Jazz Studies Program. He is also a consultant/clinician for Jazz at Lincoln Center working with the Essentially Ellington Program and Band Director Academy.

George Fludas was born in Chicago where his interest in drumming began when he was very young due to the influence of his father, who loved straight-ahead-swinging jazz and who played drums as a hobby. George soon developed a passion for the great recordings of Blue Note, Prestige, Savoy, Riverside and Impulse records. Since then he has performed with a who's who of Jazz greats, including Kenny Burrell, Betty Carter, Junior Cook, Lou Donaldson, Tommy Flanagan, Roberta Gambarini, Benny Golson, Benny Green, Eric Reed, Johnny Griffin, Roy Hargrove, Barry Harris, Hank Jones, Buddy Montgomery, David "Fathead" Newman, Nicholas Payton, Marlena Shaw, Dr. Lonnie Smith, Ira Sullivan, Clark Terry, Frank Wess and Phil Woods.
