He’s shared the stage with iconic ensembles such as the Count Basie Orchestra and Chicago staples like the Clif Wallace Big Band, Tom Garling Jazz Orchestra, Diego Rodriguez Big Band, Marlene Rosenberg Quartet, and the Afro-Caribbean Jazz Collective. As a sideman, he’s appeared at notable venues and festivals across the Midwest, including the Elmhurst Jazz Festival and the Chicago Jazz Festival. As a bandleader, he’s graced stages in Arkansas and Illinois, including Chicago’s Fulton Street Collective and Jazz Showcase.\nRecent achievements include being selected for the prestigious, donor-funded 2024 Jazz Aspen Snowmass Academy Big Band led by artistic director, Christian McBride, qualifying as a semi-finalist in the Jazz Improvisation Division for the International Trumpet Guild’s 2024 and 2025 Ryan Anthony Memorial Trumpet Competition and earning 1st place in the 2024 Tom Williams Jazz Division of the National Trumpet Competition.\nThe Gabriel Wade Quintet is comprised of a group of friends who first connected at Northern Illinois University, though they hail from various parts of the United States. This dynamic ensemble features Jared Schultz on alto and tenor saxophone, Isaiah Jones Jr. on piano, Nat Lin on bass, Sid Smith IV on drums, and Gabriel Wade on trumpet.\nClick Here For All Reservations\n\n\n
