SUMMARY:1st Set With Isaiah Collier’s Mercurian Force
DESCRIPTION:Showtimes:  6:00pm-7:15pm & 8:15pm-9:30pm\n\nThe Mercurian Force is a dynamic sextet founded by award-inning saxophonist, multi-instrumentalist, and composer Isaiah Collier. Drawing inspiration from the iconic sextet sounds of jazz legends such as Miles Davis, Art Blakey & The Jazz Messengers, and the Cannonball Adderley Sextet, the group pays homage to the rich tradition of small ensemble jazz. With their unique blend of modern expression and classic influences, The Mercurian Force rekindles attention to one of the most important and powerful formats in the history of jazz, breathing new life into this iconic configuration.\nBand Personnel:\nIsaiah Collier-Sax/Composition, Jamal Damien- Trumpet, Matthew Davis-Trombone, Richard Gibbs III-Piano, Emma Dayhuff-Bass, Jayden Richardson-drums\n“The World Is on Fire” is the last official studio recording by saxophonist Isaiah Collier. This record has received handsome accolades and critical acclaim in the New York Times & DownBeat Magazine.  Collier describes the music as his “sonic observation log” from everything that transpired over the past pandemic years. Speaking of social, political and global awareness.\nIn February 2025 he was featured on NPR’s “Jazz Night In America” and graced the cover of Downbeat Magazines April 2025 issue. The Chicago Tribune named him Jazz Artists of the Year for 2024. His recording “The Almighty” (Division 81 Records, 2024) was selected as one of the Top Ten Jazz Recordings of 2024 by The New York Times. He was featured in The New York Times Fall Arts Preview in September 2024. Downbeat Magazine selected him as one of 25 for the future in their 90th Anniversary issue in July 2024. He won the Rising Star Award in Downbeat Magazine’s critics poll for Tenor Saxophone (2023), and Soprano Saxophone (2024), and has been named a Steve Jobs Fellow.\nClick Here For All Reservations\n\n\n
