    Currently living in New York City, Nathan Brown is widely recognized as a rising star in jazz and is one of the most in demand bassists on the New York scene. His professional career includes performances with Joe Magnarelli, Philip Harper, Johnny O'Neal, Bill Saxton, Frank Morgan, Dion Parson, Wess “Warmdaddy” Anderson, Sullivan Fortner, Paquito D’Rivera, Don Braden, Lewis Nash, Wycliffe Gordon, Derrick Gardner, Vincent Gardner, John Faddis, Louis Hayes, Carl Allen, Willie Pickens, Russell Gunn, Ron and Cecil Bridgewater, Fareed Haque, Randy Brecker, Brian Lynch, Bobby Broom, Marquis Hill, Milton Suggs, Sol Yaged, and many others. He has performed at esteemed venues and festivals including Jazz at Lincoln Center, the Kennedy Center, the Detroit International Jazz Festival, the Queenstown Jazz Festival, and has performed on tours across America, Canada, Asia, and Australasia.

As a bandleader Nathan has recorded two albums. His current ensemble is a guitar, bass, drums trio featuring  Felix Lemerle on guitar and Peter Traunmueller on drums. The Nathan Brown Trio released their album "This Is The Moment" through Gut String Records in September 2017. "This Is The Moment" debuted at #47 on JazzWeek Top 50 chart for jazz radio play and made it to #20 on the NACC Top 30 Jazz Chart for college radio play. The album is currently in play on over 210 jazz radio programs worldwide including on Public Radio International's "Jazz After Hours" program.
